Lead HVAC Technician

C Carlin Plumbing | Erie, PA

C Carlin Plumbing is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently diagnose and repair HVAC systems, lead installation projects, and help support other technicians in the field.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and knows how to get the job done right.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead HVAC installation projects and ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently

  • Diagnose and repair residential and commercial heating and cooling systems

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues

  • Provide field support and guidance to technicians and apprentices

  • Communicate with customers about system issues, repair options, and recommendations

  • Maintain a clean, professional jobsite and deliver quality workmanship

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and according to applicable codes and regulations

  • Complete daily paperwork, document work performed, and communicate parts/material needs with the office

  • Use mobile dispatch and other technology to manage job information and updates

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification

  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Experience leading installs or supporting other technicians

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Basic computer and mobile technology skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs

  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, tight spaces, and at heights

  • Ability to work safely in a variety of residential and commercial environments
